A Civil Dialogues town hall seeks to create a safe space for community conversation on some of the important topics of the day.  Immigration. Media. Voting Rights.  Our Constitutional Democracy.  And more…

The initiative was conceived by Jean Becker, former chief of staff to President George H. W. Bush, and Linda Lorelle, business owner and former KPRC-TV news anchor. Each attendee at a Civil Dialogues town hall should walk away with a better understanding of the topic’s nuances while feeling seen, heard, and empowered to continue dialogue.

A big thanks to inaugural partners, the George and Barbara Bush Presidential Library Foundation, the LBJ Foundation, the Clinton Presidential Center, and the Baker Institute for Public Policy and Research, for embracing the vision.  Please consider joining their ranks to host an event.  Here’s how it works.

You Will

  • Provide the venue
  • Handle invitations/registration
  • Provide food/beverages for pre or post-event reception (optional)

We Will

  • Provide the program format/agenda
  • Provide an experienced moderator
  • Find the panelists (on our own or in concert with you)
  • Host Zoom call with panelists to finalize program content
  • Handle panelist travel requirements, as necessary
  • Ensure there are specific audience members who can address questions/points of view that might not be reflected by the panelists
  • Coordinate logistics with venue staff, including audio-visual requirements
  • Promote the event within our network
  • Create post-event communication to participants and press

Our goal is to provide a seamless process so as not to burden your internal staff.

Because a thriving democracy depends upon our ability to talk to each other.
